Organization/Membership

The Philomont Volunteer Fire Department is a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation in the State of Virginia. The organization is composed of a Board of Directors, an administrative staff, and an operational staff.  The Department is governed and managed by a 7-person Board of Directors; of which three members are community members. There are also 13 standing committees who perform specific duties and responsibilities of the fire department.

The department holds its monthly Company Business Meeting the 4th Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. of each month at the fire station (36560 Philomont Road, Philomont, VA 20131) in person or virtually [unless otherwise noted].
